LIFE AS A STUDENT | MY FIRST YEAR IS OVER

How time flies! It really is a shock to me that my first year at university is over, it's been an absolutely great year. It feels like only yesterday I was excitingly packing my whole life up ready to move away from home. I really don't think I could some up how amazing my first year of university has been in a little paragraph - so here are the highlights of my year in pictures...

Braces?: Never! But literally all of my friends have had braces

First Award: I got one in year 6 but I really cant remember what it was for but I do have about 20 medals for netball and football

First Sport You Joined: I started playing netball and football when I was 8.

First Real Vacation: I'd say last month when I went Spain but I still wouldn't say that was a proper vacation

First Concert: I've only been to one and that was Rockcorps (I think that's what is was called). Eliza Doolittle, Kelis, Professor Green, there was this DREADFUL rock band, I think there were more but I really cant remember. Jessie J was meant to perform but that was when she broke her leg although we had Diddy Dirty Money instead and he brought out Skepta and Wretch 32 and Chipmunk it was AMAZEBALLS!

First Love: LOL nope, I'm still very young

C'est La Belle Fleur

There might be some of you that read my blog name and think ''What the hell does that mean?'' and others who know what it means but may be thinking "Why is that her blog name?". I thought I would explain my blog name and the meaning behind it as it does mean something to me.

'C'est La Belle Fleur' - It's The Beautiful Flower

Blossom translated into French is Fleur which means flower.

Why French ? My second language is French. My whole family speak French and I'd say I'm quite fluent in it.

Beautiful ? No, I don't actually think I'm beautiful.

As a young girl I was teased for being overweight, for being too tall, for being 'dumb' and having a 'weird' name.

Constantly being reminded these things made me feel ugly. Growing up I've always been insecure about myself, my name and the way that I look. If I'm really honest I still am quite insecure about myself but I never let it bring me down.

Being a lot more mature now I understand that its okay to be different, and different is Beautiful.
