It's been a long time but I'm back woohoo! The stress of assignments, essays and being the president of the dance club are long behind me. I can now look forward to blogging more frequently, searching for a internships and actually being a REAL adult!

So a few weeks ago I went to my third and final sports ball where I got to unleash my inner edgy 70's gal. I wore this black and gold jumpsuit from ASOS, when I first saw it on the website I wasn't to keen but there was just something about it so I ordered it anyway. However the moment I got my hands on it I absolutely fell in love!!

You can't really see my shoes but I decided to opt out of torturing my feet with sky high heels and instead treated myself to a really nice pair of lace up wedges from Public Desire.

I kept it simple with the jewellery; some simple gold hoops from Primark (which I always lose and always go back to repurchase) and a simple choker from Pretty Little Thing that I only got for £3.

(...And to top the amazing evening off my amazing club won 'Club of the Year'!!!)

LIFE AS A STUDENT | MY FIRST YEAR IS OVER

How time flies! It really is a shock to me that my first year at university is over, it's been an absolutely great year. It feels like only yesterday I was excitingly packing my whole life up ready to move away from home. I really don't think I could some up how amazing my first year of university has been in a little paragraph - so here are the highlights of my year in pictures...

Yesterday I had an amazing time at a sports ball event that was held by my university. We were taken to a beautiful location in the country of Nottingham for a three course meal, free champagne and free wine!

It was an opportunity for everyone to dress elegantly and celebrate the year and I LOVED IT!

DANCE | GO HARD OR GO HOME HIP HOP COMPETITION 2014

Hey my lovelies, I haven't posted in quite a while but being a university student with 20 million deadlines it's pretty hard. ( I'm actually currently writing this post whilst in a lecture)

This weekend my university's hip hop society Funky Fresh Collective held the UK's biggest hip hop competition and Trent Dance competed! About a week and a half ago we decided we were going to compete and last week Sunday we started choreographing.

Yes Trent Dance choreophed a whole set in a week and WE CAME SECOND. 

Quick shoutout ehe ( I strongly doubt that they will read this) Well done Sophie, Sabina, Ella, Emily and Annie so proud of us all.

On Thursday Trent Dance held an AGM meeting, I don't actually know what AGM stands for but it's basically where people run to be on committe and members of the club vote.

I went for Clifton Captain, First Team Captain and Vice President. I really wanted to be First Team Captain but I am very happy to say I will be Clifton Captain for 2014/2015 (how lucky are the Clifton intermediates and beginners to have bloblo as a captain!! )

A Week In The Life Of Blossom Somba; FAIL

So my first 'Week In The Life Of Blossom Somba' has FAILED. I was meant to take random pictures of what I've been doing and interesting things throughout the week and then review my week. Where I'm always so busy something as simple as taking a quick picture doesn't even cross my mind.

Here is some of my week...

1. On my way back from London. 2. News Day at university, editing clips. 3. My new favorite song I discovered this week which I am obsessed with. 4. Having a productive work session in my kitchen with my flatmate and very good friend Megan. 5. Pictures were released from a dance show in Liverpool, me and Esme in the freestyle circle.

Performing At the Capital FM Arena

I've always loved to dance and I've always dreamt of performing in front of thousands of people ( even though I know I'd be too scared )

On Monday Trent Dance will be performing in the Capital FM during the mens basketball half time and I am sooo EXCITED. We've been rehearsing really hard for the past couple of weeks and its only just hit me that we will actually be performing in the Capital FM arena ! The arena seats thousands of people and huge stars such as One Direction, JLS, Jessie J and Tinie Tempah have performed in the arena. Can you tell I'm soooo excited ?

The whole night will broadcast live on Trent TV.
